We are looking for a talented project manager to join our Professional Services team and take our delivery capability to the next level – enabling us to consistently deliver great work for our clients flawlessly, on time and budget.

This is a client-facing role. To be successful, you’ll need to be able to develop a relationship with clients quickly. You should be able to gain the client’s trust that you’ll do what you say you’ll do. You’ll work alongside our talented team of consultants, assembling teams with the right skills at the right time to meet our client’s needs.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the key skills of a project manager, blended with the customer services skills of an account manager.

Based at our office in London, you’ll be joining a consultancy which is growing not only in the UK but also in Asia Pacific. We have an impressive list of clients spread across business sectors, including financial services, travel and media.

 

Responsibilities

      • Scheduling tasks – scheduling the right resources at the right time to deliver work for clients.
      • Manage the capacity of the Mezzo Labs Professional Services team – making sure that work is evenly distributed amongst the team, according to skills set and workload.
      • Forecast workload monthly to ensure that we have enough resources to deliver the work.
      • Manage the time tracking tool so that projects are set up correctly (e.g. the right budget, timelines, resources and tasks are added to the project)
      • Monitor projects to ensure that they are on budget and on time and keeping in scope.
      • Keep clients up to date by sending regular status reports
      • Send monthly hours reports to clients.
      • Build relationships with clients and become a key point of contact for the client.
      • Work closely with analysts and consultants to provide an excellent service for our clients

 

Skills required

      • Scheduling tasks – scheduling the right resources at the right time to deliver work for clients.
      • Budget control – ability to keep track of costs so that we can deliver projects within budget.
      • Manage risks – the ability to anticipate and manage project risks.
      • Task management – manage your workload effectively and delegate where applicable.
      • Quality management – put processes in place to ensure that we are producing good quality work for clients.
      • Meeting management – holding great quality meetings, which have clear objectives and run to time.
      • Estimating – the ability to determine the effort required for tasks even when the task is not well defined.
      • Forecasting – looking ahead and anticipating what the team needs to meet client demands.
      • Critical thinking – able to make rational decisions, weighing up the pros and cons of decisions before choosing a way forward.
      • Great communicator – you’ll need to communicate with clients and team members to make sure that expectations are managed effectively. This could be verbal, non-verbal and written communication.
      • Influencing – this isn’t a line management role, so you will need to be able to influence team members so that everyone is pulling in the same direction.
      • Negotiation – ability to resolve conflicts by finding win-win scenarios for all parties.

 

Experience

      • Previous experience as a project manager, account manager, or customer success manager.
      • Ideally worked in an agency or consultancy.
      • An understanding of digital analytics or digital marketing would be an advantage.
      • Working in a matrix environment – this is not a line management role.
