Webtrends Courses

This introductory Webtrends (WT) training course, tailored and designed for current WT practitioners using 9/10 or Infinity. We will cover all the basics of Webtrends and will adapt the course to reflect the version and set up that you are running. 

This one-day classroom based course will provide you with the fundamental functionalities of the interface and tagging. You will also become familiar with reporting and important terminologies to help track your KPIs – allowing you and your teams to pull the best insights for actionable results.

  • Webtrends Infinity account structure and interface: Creating collections to align with your site architecture, using filters to create bespoke data views and navigation through the tool.
  • Report structure: Walking you through the report structure and learning how Webtrends computes its data over time.
  • Reporting techniques: Applying filters and segments to slice and dice your reports, learning different ways to export data and how you can share reports with stakeholders through the private and public functions.
  • Campaign tracking: learning how Webtrends uses unique codes to track your campaigns.

The one-day training course will cover the advanced functionality and provide you with a detailed understanding of bespoke dimensions and calculated measures along with more intelligent data extraction methods – allowing you and your teams the understanding of how to interrogate your data further.

What will this training cover?

  • Tagging and data collection: Technical terminologies and definitions, website tagging, introduction to web development and how Webtrends collects and serves it data.
  • Administration management: Account settings, user and data permissions and library functionality.
  • Tailor made dimensions and measures: Theory development behind why you need these, step by step process of how to create them, when to use them and how to inject your standard reports.
  • Campaign code management: New Infinity campaign code upload and automating link tracking via an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Data Extraction using APIs: learning how APIs work, building query with report links, extracting large datasets into Excel and best practice data manipulation techniques.

  • Have a full understanding of how tags are implemented and how to use developer tools to run simple checks/investigation.
